Big news for Markham! With council approvals in place, more than 3,200 new homes are set to shape three communities—each bringing its own flavor to the city’s vibrant tapestry. We’re talking over 2,000 homes (plus a new school and a generous 29 hectares of parkland!) rising near Highway 48, 1,183 units planned for Leslie Street and Highway 7, and a boutique enclave of 18 townhouses on Green Lane.
As someone who’s explored neighborhoods here and across 100 countries, I love seeing Markham’s landscape evolve to welcome new faces and families. These projects promise not just more homes, but more opportunities to put down roots, connect, and enjoy all the green space and amenities this diverse city has to offer. If you’re as excited as I am about the changing face of Markham—or dreaming of your next move—let’s keep the adventure going together.
